As a Safety Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in planning, implementing, and overseeing employee safety at our company.
Your primary responsibility will be to ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) guidelines and reduce work-related injuries.
You will collaborate with various departments to develop and maintain a safe work environment.
Please note that this position involves traveling between multiple locations.
This position is full-time!
Responsibilities:
Provide support for internal and external inquiries and requests related to the Safety Department.
Conduct investigations into safety violations and meticulously document investigative results.
Ensure strict adherence to OSHA and DOT regulations.
Coordinate DOT, OSHA, and Safety Policies with managers and team members.
Compile and maintain accurate and up-to-date paper, digital, and electronic records.
Assist in organizing and conducting safety-related training programs, workshops, and seminars.
Maintain current driver's and safety-sensitive employee files.
Possess knowledge of Loss Control and Accident Claims procedures.
Support safety events, including quarterly safety meetings and the Annual Safety Banquet.
Strictly adhere to company policies and procedures, including the Safety Policy outlined by the organization.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Excellent management and supervisory skills to effectively oversee safety protocols.
Extensive knowledge of security protocols and emergency preparedness to handle unforeseen situations.
In-depth understanding of company safety policies and relevant Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards.
Strong written and verbal communication skills to convey safety procedures and instructions effectively.
